Lilamani Wickramaratne served as the international facilitator of a course in conflict transformation in County Derry in November 1999. Exploring ways to transform conflict, the participants focused on frameworks for peace-building, strategy for empowerment, and the limits to mediation, with particular emphasis on cross-cultural approaches to the issues. In this article Wickramaratne recounts key elements and moments in the course.
