This book offers a very different way of viewing, understanding, and responding to conflicts and traumatic events experienced in our lives. The focus is upon finding strength, compassion, and peace within our lives and hopefully in others. Our peace need not be dependent upon those individuals with whom we are in conflict or the circumstances unless we choose to give them that power. This book is about becoming aware of and working with the energy of conflict or traumatic events in a way that doesn’t focus on the verbal expression of conflict. The words of conflict and trauma can become a trap. They can easily cause us to become stuck in the powerful emotions we are trying to avoid. (Excerpt)
