To date, there has been a paucity of empirical research aimed explicitly at discovering how Christians
forgive. I briefly review sixteen studies in the Summer and Winter issues of the Joumal of Psychology and
Christianity for their major themes. These suggest that in many ways, findings from research on the forgiveness
by Christians are like all other people, like some other people, and like no other people (author’s abstract). The article includes a discussion of studies done in restorative justice programmes.
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
