Being part of a restorative justice conference was an enlightening experience for Sergeant Andrew O’Reilly. “I can be as cynical as the best of them, but this conference was quite interesting. “It definitely opened my eyes to the way restorative justice can have a beneficial effect. I think it’s a positive process. “It is case specific, and each case needs to be weighed up on its merits.â€?
