The past year has been one of growth and challenge for Fraser Region Community Justice Initiatives. Its mission “to foster peacemaking and resolution of conflict in the community through the development and application of mediation and conciliationâ€? continues to inform people and effect changes wherever the agency’s work takes it. Of particular note is the very positive growth in the area of training, as well as in the school program. Requests come in for workshops on entry-level training in restorative work and for the subsequent levels of mediation and conciliation. (excerpt)
