Grey’s Anatomy star Kim Raver talks about film role based on Victoria mom

….What makes this film unique, she says, is getting to meet the person she’s playing.

“It’s always great being able to do research, and Katy wrote this amazing book [Walking After Midnight: One Woman’s Journey Through Murder] I read,” Raver, 41, says. “I’ve asked her so many questions. She’s unique, a special woman.”

Hutchison was relieved that Raver, with whom she immediately hit it off, “understands it’s a tall order” and takes the story seriously.

“I felt like I was walking through the room with an old girlfriend,” Hutchison says. “I wanted to pour a cup of tea and talk about us both being moms and 40-ish. She’s fun and has an enormous amount of humility.”
