Sharon Barton, a conference facilitator of the Waipareira Restorative Justice Providers, strongly supports the use of conferences in providing reconciliation between victims and their offenders. Sharon has worked at 14 conferences and has noticed transforming changes among offenders (as well as victims) who have attended the. Though some sceptics remain, she emphasizes that lasting reconciliation among victims and offenders almost always occurs in these conferences.
