Hurting People was developed for the John Howard Society of Manitoba’s Literacy Program. It contains twenty-four lessons dealing with victim awareness issues. Each of the lessons is followed by an exercise designed to build literacy skills and to reinforce materials contained in the lesson. This manual was developed to provide a basic understanding of victim awareness and related issues. While anyone can benefit from this book, it is especially suited to low-level readers.
