I can remember a time “A crime victim’s journey to restorative justice.”

Halbert, Ellen
June 4, 2015

Source: (1997) The ICCA Journal 3 (August): 40-43.

A victim of violent crime, Halbert recounts the effects of crime and the criminal justice process on her and her family. These events propelled her to advocacy for victims’ rights through a variety of roles. In this article, she describes what victims experience and want in the aftermath of their traumatization. She also explains how her victimization and her subsequent activities led her to a restorative justice approach to the harm caused by crime.
