The new Sentencing Act of 2002 has intensified interest in restorative justice as of late. With this, up to 400 meeting referrals have been made in major New Zealand cities and there is a growing demand for seminars. Conferences are helping victims and their offenders see each other from different perspectives. They are also beginning to explore what it means to restore justice to the victim on a deeper level.
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
