This international conference, organised by the universities of Leuven and Antwerp (Belgium), was set up to give a broad overview of all the aspects that need to be taken into account when discussing the right to reparation for victims of serious human rights violations. What is the relation with other issues such as truth, accountability and reconciliation? During the conference four dimensions were brought to the attention by a diverse international group of expert speakers amongst whom were Prof. E. Barkan, Prof. D. Cassel, Dr. P. De Greiff, Prof. J. Sarkin and Prof. T. van Boven. (excerpt)
