A few days back, I wrote to my friends stating that we need greater engagement not withdrawal from Iraq. And the response from my friends has been: “How can you be oblivious to the fact that the US government has launched an unfair and illegitimate war! What about justice?â€? The dominant discourse in today’s world politics is that the United States is the offender, as it has violated the sovereignty of Iraq by waging an “unjust warâ€?. Let us for a while accept the argument, and analyze what justice would entail.
