According to David Benedicktus and Laura Wood, local government partnerships and strong juvenile court support make the Clark County (Washington) Victim Mediation Program one of the most successful in the region. To demonstrate this, Benedicktus and Wood review the origin of the program and identify several factors that contribute to its success, particularly the holistic commitment of all involved to conform the entire program (policies and practices) to restorative justice principles. They then survey the options offered by the program, the program’s processes, and relevant statistics.
