Mediation in penal matters in Romania.

In Romania, the field of restorative justice is still an unknown one, and it is still a dilemma if this kind of judicial
activity (successful in other jurisdictions around the world) will be a success in our county. In this context,
becomes even more difficult to find the correct answer to the question if the mediation, as a form of restorative
justice, is a viable solution, in Romanian system, and even more difficult to see the future of mediation in
criminal matters. This possibility legally exits since 2006. (author’s abstract)
