Frederik Bullens is Coordinator of Suggnomè, the Flemish Forum for Restorative Justice and Mediation. Here he reports on a first-time program conducted by Suggnomè. Students from the European Masters in Mediation program were invited by Suggnomè to tour Belgium for several days in early July 2001. They visited victim-offender mediation and community mediation projects in several cities. Bullens explains the benefits of this tour both for the visitors and for the Belgian hosts. He also notes ways in which the program could be improved, even as he announces the next tour in March 2002.
