The Thames Valley Partnership is a nonprofit group that brings people and organizations together to work for safer communities in the Thames Valley area of England. The focus is on prevention rather than cure. This document, produced by the Partnership, is a resource book and report of an event held on 27 November 2001 for practitioners in the Thames Valley with responsibility for tackling conflict in the community. The resources are intended to assist practitioners in learning ways in which conflict resolution and restorative approaches can be used to reduce neighborhood conflict, nuisance, and anti-social behavior. Several articles deal with mediation, restorative justice, and specific programs in the Thames Valley. Annexes provide additional resources through case studies, contact information, and a guide to human rights for community safety partnerships.
