In this paper, the new juvenile justice system in Italy and the key problems deriving from its introduction is analyzed by taking into consideration a series of interesting results that emerged from a number of research studies carries out by the E. Zancan Foundation and from seminars aimed at comparing different local experiences between Italian regions. The conclusion furnishes suggestions for future research and experimentation on the subject.
