This article contains an overview of the work and participant experiences of the first African Peacebuilding Institute based on an evaluation report prepared by Carl Stauffer. The article lists courses offered at the first Institute as well as future courses to be offered. A highly participatory approach to facilitation was used at the Institute. Each module of the Institute was based on the Action-Reflection Learning Cycle of adult education. Representative comments culled from evaluations attest to the results of the Institute among those who participated in it.
