I envision a pro-active society in which children
are taught conflict resolution and communication
skills at a very young age in school. A society
in which these skills lead to less violence in our
schools, less criminal activity among youth and
higher graduation rates. My society is a place in
which children are taught how to show empathy,
respect and dignity for all people regardless of
race, colour, sexuality or ethnicity. My society
is a place in which communication and conflict
resolution skills are used to improve familial
relationships and keep families intact. This is a
place in which we reduce the rates of divorce,
domestic violence and family conflict. (excerpt)
