No royal road to reconciliation. Pendle Hill Pamphlet 321.

Hoffman, Gene Knudsen

Source: (1999) Wallingford, PA: Pendle Hill Publications.

In this pamphlet, Gene Knudsen Hoffman writes about trauma, healing, and reconciliation. She has long been involved in peacemaking activities through her Quaker affiliation and he participation in the Fellowship of Reconciliation. She believes that personal pain or trauma is one of the deep and powerful roots of anger and violence. Peacemaking primarily begins, therefore, not with changing others but with healing in oneself. Reconciliation then flows out of that healing.
