Nordic Seminar on Restorative Justice (hereafter RJ) and Victim-Offender Mediation (hereafter VOM) was held in November 29-30, 2007 at the Parliament House, Helsinki, Finland. The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Justice and the Advisory Board for Mediation in Finland. The Seminar was chaired by Mr Aarne Kinnunen, Ministerial Adviser. This was a follow-up to the Nordic seminar which was taking place in Oslo in November 13.-14. 2006. The participants came from a range of backgrounds, including service providers, mediators, criminal justice practitioners, state officials, academics, politicians, and NGOs from all the Nordic countries.
