Wilkinson describes the Community Justice Cabinet and five councils that were created in 1997 by the Ohio Dept. of Rehab. & Correction (DRC) to drive the DRC’s Community Justice initiative. He explains the purpose of the five councils as the means by which the DRC is incorporating community justice into the Ohio corrections culture and how the councils are overseen and supported by the Cabinet. Wilkinson then gives examples of the ongoing projects put in place by the councils.
