This article by James Zion, which can be found at the end of Robert Yazzie’s article “Navajo justice,â€? explains that Navajo peacemaking is not so much a search for “truthâ€? as it is a search for reconciliation. Two incidents within Navajo families are summarized to illustrate the Navajo emphasis on relationships and reconciliation in resolving conflict.
