Plan for Restoring Justice: Recommendations for Correctional and Sentencing Reform in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

This report of the Pennsylvania Justice Fellowship Task Force conducted a series of nine public fact-finding hearings, two in-prison roundtable discussions, and sough input from more than 150 experts, and meetings with key state officials outlines a vision for correctional reform. Seven Key reform areas are identified, within which eighty-five specific recommendations fit. This Plan is intended to be a call for action to re-establish restorative standards of justice to produce a fully coordinated and effective correctional system. It is estimated that implementing the plan would save over $850 million during the first four years.
