Police give backing to new apology system

Remedy, the county’s restorative justice organisation which works with police, had 186 victims referred to it between April and June this year and 53 opted for restorative justice. Of those, 11 opted for a direct face-to-face meeting with the offender and 42 opted for indirect contact, for example mediation carried out by Remedy.
