Protocol in relation to Essex Police Involvement with the Essex Family Group Conference Service

The Essex Family Group Conference Service has developed and implemented the use of family group conferences to extend the involvement of families in decision-making and planning for children. This document summarizes the following information about the program: the aims of the service; the referral process; issues and protocol concerning the involvement of offenders and police in family group conferences; and the implementation of family plans that result from conferences
