The Nordic Forum for Mediation organized the Second Nordic Conference on Mediation. It was held in Snekkerstern, Denmark, January 18-20, 2002. In this article Anna Baldry summarizes key aspects of the conference. Oriented more toward practice than theory, the conference covered mediation in several sectors or spheres: family; victim-offender; commercial; school; and international mediation. About 180 people attended, mostly from Scandinavian countries. Additionally, internationally acknowledged professionals in different fields of mediation gave a two-day training session prior to the conference.
