Community Legal Education Ontario, founded in 1974, is a community legal clinic in Ontario, Canada, that specializes in public legal education. One of its chief aims is to produce clear language materials on a variety of subjects for people with low incomes. This pamphlet introduces restorative justice as an alternative approach to youth justice. The pamphlet covers the following topics: principles and practices of restorative justice; restorative justice as an alternative, community-based program; types of cases addressed by restorative justice; how restorative justice works; what restorative justice offers to victims of youth crime, young offenders, and the community; and the benefits of restorative justice in relation to young offenders in particular.

We've Been Restoring Justice for More Than 40 Years

Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
