This article will further define and explain the concept of restorative justice for paralegal educators, including a description of some applications nationally and internationally, and the statutory adoption of restorative principles in some states. An examination of the place for teaching restorative justice principles in a paralegal curriculum is included, along with a detailed lesson plan for one to three weeks of instruction including a hands-on exercise. Finally, a brief discussion of potential jobs for paralegal graduates working in restorative justice is presented. (excerpt)
