I attended a restorative justice conference yesterday, which was inspiring. I am very glad to
be here today to talk about restorative justice and victims of crime. The Government is really
determined to improve the way the criminal justice system serves victims. We are also keen to
see restorative justice develop. I want to say a few words, if I may, about what we are doing
for victims, and how that relates to our restorative justice strategy – bearing in mind that
communities, as well as individuals, can be victims of crime and anti-social behaviour. (excerpt)
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
