The event provided RJ practitioners and others interested
in the field of RJ with the opportunity to hear what this most recent research shows about what works, where and how. There was also the chance to ask Lawrence and Heather in-depth questions about their research findings. Both
the morning lecture and afternoon workshops (presented by Lawrence and Heathers’ colleagues at the Justice Research Consortium) focussed on the lessons for RJ practice learned through the research carried out for the report. Below, Heather Strang gives her thoughts on the findings of their
research and the importance of the partnership between theory, research and RJ practice for the future of Restorative Justice. (excerpt)
