“Restorative Justice: The Real Story”

Daly, Kathleen
June 4, 2015

Source: (2000) Paper revised from that presented to the Scottish Criminology Conference, Edinburgh, 21-22 September 2000.

Daly explores the “trueâ€? story behind restorative justice. She differentiates between the “trueâ€? mythical story used by advocates and the “realâ€? empirical story. While noting that fairness and satisfaction are high (80% – 95%) for conferences, she says that there is less evidence of restorativeness.
