The journey from courthouse to community justice can be long, challenging and, for the most part, worthwhile, as the Church Council is discovering in this Ottawa initiative which we have monitored and resourced as part of a CCJC project. The same project includes helping a high school adapt a circle-sentencing process for use n dealing with its problem. As more and more communities push to take part in the justice process, CCJC is convinced there are significant lessons for others in the country wanting to take similar steps.(excerpt)
