“I felt very guilty afterwards and when the police spoke to me I knew I needed to be punished.”
Dylan said he agreed to take part in the restorative justice scheme and said it had definitely put him off doing anything similar again.
He said: “It’s been really hard work. I’ve also had to take a day off from my normal job so it’s actually costing me money too.
“I could understand if some people think I’m getting off lightly but at least this way I get to do something productive that helps the town.
“I’m hoping for a career in the army in the future and having a criminal record wouldn’t have helped.”
