Ft. Peck is a tribal reservation in northeast Montana. This paper describes a program for a tribal Community Wellness Court – a more traditional, community-based model of criminal justice which is an alternative to the current system of justice – to address alcohol and other substance abuse. The description provides an introduction to the program, a mission statement, the targeted population, and programmatic goals.
