The open door experience.

I wish to speak of another form of RJ, one available to all, one which I believe to be equally (if
not more) beneficial to the community long term:
the Open Door experience. Montreal-Southwest
Community Ministries’ (MSCM) “Open Door”
project, now in its tenth year, provides an
opportunity for all offenders to reconnect with
society. Organized by MSCM and its volunteers,
the weekly meetings welcome all to participate
and express themselves freely in a friendly
environment that is based on equity and
respect. Participants include volunteers,
members of MSCM, members of the community, ex-offenders, and inmates who are on
escorted outings from prison. The following
describes my first experience with Open Door. (excerpt)

Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
