In presenting this Second Lord Longford Lecture, the Right Reverend John Sentamu explores the prospect of a new global paradigm of justice focused on truth, restoration, and reconciliation. In this regard he discusses the nature of justice in terms of transformation, restitution, and restoration, rather than mere retribution. He applies this in concrete terms to local communities and governments, as well as national governments. This leads to his more detailed analysis of restorative justice, with particular attention to principles, processes, and outcomes.
