This article includes a variety of punishments and penalties for offenders, including restorative justice. RJ is described as “dealing with offenders by bringing them together with their victim to reach a mutual agreement about ways of repairing the harm done by the offender, and to give the offender an understanding of the effects of the crime.â€? Youth conferencing is mentioned as an example of restorative justice already in use in the criminal justice system.
