“Our times are characterized by the obsession to justify the ideological ambitions of the nineteenth century. In the context of modernity, man is called to discover and scientifically prove the universal laws that govern human behaviour. Thus, major problems like human aggression or violence have been interpreted by means of different secular and anthropocentric speculations, theories or ideologies. Freudian ideas hold a distinguised place among those various speculations and undoubtedly present a basic theory that strongly influences modern civilization.” (Abstract)
