Griffith summarizes the history and services of the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP) in Fresno, California, a program that has been in effect for seventeen years. He sketches the kinds of services offered, the number of cases, and the training provided for volunteer community mediators. Using informal statistical results, he also surveys outcomes from the many cases handled by VORP.
