As Jennifer Druliner and Heather Prichard observe, conflict resolution programs (CRE) teach a variety of processes and skills, one of which is negotiation. Negotiation-based programs differ from other classroom CRE programs in that negotiation-based programs focus primarily on teaching the process steps of negotiation to all students. The goal is to give students practical problem-solving skills. In this chapter then, Druliner and Prichard focus on problem-solving negotiation and programs that teach skills in such negotiation.
