This is one of the roles the Church is called upon to take in our communities: to minister to the least of these. This book is intended to explain why you and your church should become involved in helping returning prisoners, and to provide you with practical ways to help… As I emphasize elsewhere in this book, crime is, at its root, a moral and spiritual problem, and breaking free of criminal attitudes and behaviors requires a spiritual transformation. A church-based ministry for prisoners returning to the community is unique because the heart of its message is the Person of Jesus Christ and His power to transform lives from the inside out! Out of new life in Christ flows Christ-centered values, freedom from addiction, commitment to work, respect for authority, personal
responsibility, and family reconciliation. (excerpt)

Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
