Correctional research can be found in a wide range of publications, both specific to corrections and more general in focus. This research is designed to assist academics and practitioners in identifying where particular types of corrections research are most likely to be found. A total of 1,121 articles published in five corrections specialty journals—The Prison Journal, Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, Federal Probation, International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology, and Corrections Management Quarterly—between 1990 and 1999 are reviewed for content and topical focus. Results show clear patterns of topical focus across titles. Results are presented both for the entire sample and for each journal. Author’s abstract.
