Who are you? Karen Lang

This was the reality facing Karen Lang in the September of 1998. Her fifteen year old daughter Jessica had been murdered, stabbed 47 times by a jealous love rival in the kitchen of the family home.

Karen talks to Geoff Hutchison about the tragedy that shattered her world and the fourteen year journey that has led her to become a passionate campaigner for Restorative Justice.

Her need to move forward and let some of the pain go saw her get involved with the Sycamore Tree Project – a program which bring victims of serious crimes together with prisoners in a bid to help both sides deal with the impact of crime.
