In 1996 Remedi began providing RJ victim-offender mediation in partnership with the South Yorkshire Probation Service for adult cases. With the development of Youth Offending Teams (YOTs) in the late 1990s Remedi’s work expanded and now includes a range of restorative services across both the youth and adult criminal justice systems, in the ‘prevention’ arena, in a community setting and in schools. Remedi offers restorative services across South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Northumberland, West Yorkshire, and Stockport. (excerpt)
