What I Learned Through Sycamore Tree Project

February 28, 2022

During the Sycamore Tree Project course, I learned about what forgiveness truly is, and how to forgive others. I learned to teach others to do good and to help them. I learned to apologize and make peace with your victim, family, and the community.

Before I joined the Sycamore Tree Project, I was not someone who forgave anyone who wronged me. I was a firm believer in revenge. I was not complete in Christ, so I had not experienced freedom, even before I came to prison. Through the STP course, I have learned to differentiate between good and evil. The program changed my life. I am now able to take responsibility for my sins, and I am attending church services regularly.
